Meet Brad Petersen

Brad caught his first fish at age 3, thanks to his dad. More than 50 years later, his favorite part of fishing hasn't changed: watching a kid land their first one.

Why I wrote this book

Most parents don’t need a fishing expert. They need a plan.

I’ve watched it happen hundreds of times: a mom or dad who wants to take their kid fishing but doesn’t know where to start. They buy the wrong gear, pick the wrong spot, and the first trip ends in tangled line and tears. The kid decides fishing is boring, and that’s the end of it.

It doesn’t have to go that way. Over 35+ years of teaching kids, I learned what actually works: the right fish, the right place, a simple setup, and a grown-up who keeps it fun. Hook, Line & Kids puts all of it in one place, so you can be the person who gets your kid hooked.
